Iron is one of the essential elements for the enzyme system in plant metabolism. This element is a part of the protein that is necessary for the reduction of nitrate and sulfate and is necessary for the synthesis and maintenance of chlorophyll in plants. Iron also plays an important role in the metabolism of proteins. In general, the nutritional role of iron element in plants is as follows: cellular respiration, chlorophyll formation, protein production, and reduction of nitrate percentage in the cell. The chelate form of this element is the protected form, and other elements cannot interfere with the absorption of chelated iron. The chelated form is much easier and faster absorbed by the plant compared to its normal form.
